Meet Up is an online website helping facilitate meetings between people who share similar interests. Supposedly they help groups all over the world with some in Milwaukee, WI and Baltimore, MD.
When clicking on Slashdot it offered up "Other MEET UP Topics Popular with Nerds" (which included live journal and webloggers). However, I'd like to point out, that I may be a geek and even a dork at times, but I am not a nerd.
