I am not sleeping again. And the sleep that does come is chalk full of dreams. Overall it is an unrestful slumber. I wish I could track the instances that prompt excessive dreaming. I wish I could simply capture and record the dreams, yet they have stopped every time I have tried journalizing them. I get flashbacks interrupting my day. I will be driving down Captiol and glance over to a signal light just as the visual memory slips past the corner of my eye. The clue sparks the mini-dream sequence leaving me grasping for understanding or reference. Through out the day these brisk encounters skirt past my mental grasp of understanding and taunt me with unknown mysteries. The primary drawback to the intense dreaming is the overwhelming disorientation that follows the mind-breaking buzz of my alarm clock. The rapid changing of gears as my mind comprehends the meaning and source of the alarm leaves me extremely confused and uncertain. I eventually realize that I was dreaming and that it is time to start the day, but that feeling of surprise, of attack follows me throughout my mornings. But enough talk of dreams, it is time for me to sleep.

Brrr. Fall has finally settled in and I am loving it. Driving down the road you find trees bursting with red, yellow, and orange. Pumpkin decorations are appearing at the local retail shops. Apple picking trips have taken place. Fall is here. The Halloween festivities spark excitement in young faces. People better get outside now because fall doesn’t last long. Soon leafless trees will sway in the frosty wind and invite the first snowfall. Get outside now and run through piles of leaves and pick the perfect pumpkin for carving.

The Playa del Fuego trip is coming up. I am getting more excited by the minute. Most of my original ideas are falling into place and there are some new ones still taking shape. There are 7 of us traveling out there, sardined into a van and traveling for 16 hours. We should all be pretty close by the time we get there either that or about to kill each other. Only two more weeks.

Next weekend I am going to see Stomp at the Riverside. Also, I might go to check out a new exhibit at the Milwaukee Art Museum if I have time. I am trying to stop over planning my time so that I can sit back and relax for a change. For the past two weekends I have had very little going on and it has been wonderful. Getting some things finished around the house and getting caught up on homework (and updating my journal for a change).
